Concrete and Masonry Supply Sales Representative

Advance is offering a tremendous career opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in construction related outside sales. Concrete and masonry specialties related sales experience preferred.


  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and find prospective new customers.

  • Email, make telephone calls and perform in-person visits to contractor’s offices and to their jobsites to make presentations to prospective customers.

  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers.

  • Coordinate with company management, city desk, accounting and dispatch.

  • Complete sales orders and work with A/R on billing and collections.

  • Some delivery of product will be required.

  • Additional duties may be added.



  • Positive and professional attitude.

  • Aggressive self-starter.

  • Experience in construction related sales, preferably in concrete and masonry related items.

  • Ability to acquire & maintain customer relationships.

  • Excellent sales & customer service skills.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • High level of organization and the ability to meet deadlines, work on short lead times when required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow instruction with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and other software.

  • Must be able to read blue prints and specifications.

  • Must be able to be walk on rough terrane, lift 50 pounds, and climb in and out of the bed of a pick-up truck and trailer.

  • Must have a good driving record, be able to obtain a medical card for towing a trailer and must have a good driving record.

  • Area needed to be traveled is mainly Minnesota, with some in Iowa and South Dakota.
